JINS renews its “SARIKO Dual-Use Glasses” with a 90% satisfaction rate among heavy saunters. Six models and 12 types in total, which are easy to use in daily life and do not easily slip off even when sweating.

JINS released a new model of “JINS SAUNA,” a pair of sauna glasses, on January 18. The price is 9,900 yen including heat-resistant anti-glare lenses. It will be available at JINS stores nationwide and at the JINS online store.

The concept of the product, which can be used both in daily life and in the sauna, has gained the support of many saunas, and 85.4% of all respondents to a survey of purchasers said they were “satisfied” with the product. Of these, 20% are non-sauna users, and the product is used in a variety of everyday situations, such as taking a long bath at home, assisting with bathing, wearing a mask, and eating hot food.

As with previous models, the new model uses “super engineering plastic,” a material with a heat resistance temperature of 120°C. Lenses with anti-darkness coating can accommodate left-right differences and astigmatism. The lenses are rust-resistant even when wet.

In addition, the design of the new model has been redesigned so that the elastic temples wrap more comfortably around the head, making it more comfortable to wear and less likely to slip out of place. Two new frame designs, “square” and “crown punt,” have been added, for a total of six models and 12 types to choose from.

JINS Tokyo headquarters is also operating an employee sauna, “ARNE SAUNA,” under the supervision of Dr. Yotaka Kato of Keio University, who conducts medical research on saunas. The sauna is equipped with a group sauna and a solo sauna, and a whiteboard for discussion is set up in the outdoor air-bath space, among other ways to explore new ways of utilizing the sauna.
