Posted on 2024-01-182024-02-01 by Editor in Chief

On January 19, Ikaros Shuppan released the quarterly magazine “Shinkansen EX (Explorer) Vol. 70,” an A4-size, 144-page publication priced at 1980 yen.

The feature article is “In-Depth Coverage: Details of the Opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen Tsuruga Line! Details of the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line Tsuruga,” covering every aspect of the Kanazawa-Tsuruga section of the line, including stations, facilities, civil engineering, tracks, and operations.

It also includes interviews with JR West, the Japan Railway Transport Agency (JRTT), and the Fukui Prefectural Government, as well as behind-the-scenes stories of the various preparations and construction work that will be done prior to the opening of the line. This volume provides a complete picture of the Hokuriku Shinkansen Kanazawa-Tsuruga line.

In addition, we will also discuss the status of the construction site of the Hokkaido Shinkansen extension section, as well as the trends of notable east-west trains, such as the E2 Series J66 and N700S J0 trains.
