GATES and CountryWorks will open “ALPS LAPS withTENAR” (561 Tsukuyama, Minami-Alps City, Yamanashi Prefecture) on January 26, limited to two couples per day. In conjunction with this, the company began accepting reservations today, January 19.
The inn was jointly produced by GATES, a travel company specializing in outdoor activities whose parent company is ELK, a long-established outdoor store in Yamanashi, and CountryWorks, a company that produces outdoor cabins called TENAR and mobile houses.
On a 3,000m2 site high in the Southern Alps with a spectacular view of the Kofu Basin and Mt. Fuji, there will be a total of three buildings (Yoi, Yu, Dawn) consisting of a bedroom, outdoor bath, and wooden deck, a reception building, and parking for five cars. Accommodation will be priced from 25,000 yen per person. At the time of opening, only two rooms (evening and dawn) will be open.
The TENAR cabins to be introduced this time feature triangular windows. The open-air bath cabins, which can be used at any time during the stay, allow guests to enjoy the view from the triangular windows while soaking in an open-air bath with natural water from the Southern Alps.
It also has a private dining room and a fire space where you can relax and enjoy the night view of the city spread out over the basin.
For meals, the inn will partner with Merimero, an Italian restaurant in Kofu City, to provide original dinner courses and breakfast boxes catered by the inn, using a wide variety of prefectural ingredients.
