On January 19, Shiseido announced the results of a survey on awareness of skin irritations during the pollen season on sensitive skin. The survey was conducted in October 2023 and covered 1,000 women aged 20-69 (500 with sensitive skin).
After the corona infection prevention period (2020-2023), one in two people felt that their skin had become more sensitive, with 25% of those who felt sensitive during the pollen season, second only to those who felt sensitive at any time of the year.
It was also revealed that sensitive skin is far more likely than normal skin to feel itchy and dry skin during the pollen season, and of the 44% who use anti-pollen sprays, air purifiers, and masks, few feel that they are effective.
The company recommends a review of skin care, including the use of a mist that protects against pollen and particulate dirt and the use of facial cleansers and toners for sensitive skin as a measure against skin irritation.
