Campground with spa and restaurant opens in Kanuma
Snow Peak will open its first directly managed campground in the Kanto region, Snow Peak Kanuma Camping Field & Spa (1879 Kaminanma-cho, Kanuma City, Tochigi Prefecture), on April 13.
Kanuma City in Tochigi Prefecture is surrounded by abundant nature, with the clear Ashi River flowing through the eastern part of the city, which is famous as a fishing and river recreation spot, and the Well Marsh, also known as Ko-Oze, in the Yokone Plateau located at an elevation of 1,300 meters in the western part.
This facility is located at the foot of the Ashio massif, close to the city center, and within a straight line distance of 100 km from Tokyo. Shin-Kanuma Station on the Tobu Nikko Line is easily accessible, approximately 80 minutes from Asakusa.
There are 91 sites, including free sites, power sites, and “JYUBAKO,” a mobile house developed in collaboration with architect Kengo Kuma, to meet a variety of needs. In addition, the “empty-handed camp plan,” in which a complete set of camping gear can be rented, is also available.
It will also feature a spa with an open-air bath and sauna, a directly managed store where Snow Peak products can be purchased, and restaurants such as “Kaminami Soba Ryugai,” which will serve the local specialty soba (buckwheat noodles) (open to non-campground users).
