BEAMS JAPAN will hold “KAGAWA JAPAN, BEAMS JAPAN – Kagawa’s crafts that fascinate BEAMS JAPAN” at BEAMS JAPAN Shinjuku (3-32-6 Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) and its official online store. The exhibition will run from February 1 through February 6.

Beginning in 2019, BEAMS JAPAN will collaborate with Kagawa Prefecture to promote the appeal of traditional crafts representative of Kagawa, such as Kagawa lacquerware and Takamatsu papier-mâché, mainly in the Tokyo metropolitan area. This year, selected items will be sold both in stores and online under the concept of “Kagawa’s crafts that fascinate BEAMS JAPAN.

The lineup includes Kagawa lacquerware platters and boxes, leather tote bags made using high-grade olive oil refined in Shodoshima and glove industry technology from Higashikagawa, which has continued for 140 years, and canvas pouches dyed with Kagawa-grown olives.

Other products include BEAMS JAPAN special order tactical gloves (1780 yen), a peony tote (22,000 yen), Miyauchi papier-mâché bongo-san (small 1210 yen – extra large 4070 yen), beer saucer Goto-nuri (3960 yen), Fujiyama tumbler (22,000 yen), and BEAMS JAPAN special order room slip-ons (3,850 yen), and more.
