The Maihama Resort Line will introduce revised fares for Disney Resort Line rides on March 16.

After the revision, the regular passenger fare will increase to 300 yen (360 yen before the revision), and the “special ticket (free ticket)” will increase to 700 yen (660 yen before the revision) for a one-day ticket and 900 yen (850 yen before the revision) for a two-day ticket. The fares for 3-day and 4-day tickets will remain unchanged.

Regular passenger fares will be 9,000 yen for commuting (7,850 yen before the revision) and 5,400 yen for commuting (4,720 yen before the revision). The overall revision rate (rate of revenue increase) is 12.4%.

The company cited as reasons for the revision the increase in power costs associated with the electricity rate revision, depreciation and maintenance costs for existing facilities, major repairs to station buildings to meet the latest safety standards, and upcoming investments in substation facilities and ticket gate system upgrades.

The report also cites an increase in personnel costs associated with the strengthening of internal organizational structures and the appropriate allocation of personnel to steadily promote disaster prevention and mitigation measures against natural disasters in the provision of a safe environment and services for passengers, and crime prevention measures on trains and in stations.

For the above reasons, the company has decided to revise fares for the first time in about 17 years in order to maintain sound management of the railroad business, in addition to ensuring continuous transportation safety, creating a safe and comfortable environment for passengers, further improving convenience, and providing value-added experiences with a high level of satisfaction.

In addition, it was announced that discount group tickets will also be put on sale. The tickets are available to holders of the Physical Disability Certificate, Rehabilitation Certificate, or Mental Disability Certificate, and applications will be accepted on the Tokyo Disney Resort official website from the end of February.

In addition, the sale of regular coupon tickets and discount coupon tickets will be discontinued, and the refund fee (200 yen) will be reduced.
