Tokyo Monorail will implement fare revision and timetable revision on March 16.

Regarding the fare revision, the starting fare will increase from 157 yen to 177 yen for adults with IC fares and from 160 yen to 180 yen for adults with ticket fares.

For other sections, IC fares will increase by 27-45 yen for adults and ticket fares by 20-40 yen for adults, and between Monorail Hamamatsucho and Haneda Airport (IC fare) will increase from 492 yen to 519 yen.

Commuter passes will also be raised, with the price of a one-month commuter pass (for adults) between Monorail Hamamatsucho and Haneda Airport rising from 11,280 yen to 14,600 yen. The commuter pass fare will remain unchanged and will not be revised.

If you use a commuter pass purchased or renewed by March 15 on or after March 16, you can ride without difference within the validity period and section, but you must pay the difference between the revised fare and the new fare if you need to make additional payments, such as for a ride over.

Along with the fare revision, the special tickets will be reviewed. The “Monorail & Yamanote Line Discount Ticket” will increase from 500 yen to 540 yen for adults, and the “Tokyo Monorail Line Stroll 1 Day Pass” will increase from 700 yen to 1,100 yen for adults.

The “Monorail Habari Round Trip Ticket” and “Monorail & Odaiba Exciting Ticket” will cease to be sold as of March 15.

The admission fee to the station will also be revised to the same amount as the first ride fare (180 yen for adults), and the refund fee (160 yen/220 yen for adults), which used to vary by ticket type, will be unified to 220 yen for adults.

The revised timetable will move back the last train time at stops by 12 to 20 minutes by adding sectional rapid trains after the current last train on both weekdays, weekends and holidays, up and down.

In addition, a total of four airport rapid, sectional rapid, and local trains will be added between 21:00 and 23:00 on the way up, two sectional rapid trains at 6:00 on the way down on weekdays, and one local train at 18:00 on the way up on weekdays.

Furthermore, on Saturdays and Sundays, the interval and number of airport rapid and local trains will be revised between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m. on the down train and between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. on the up train to improve convenience for passengers using Haneda Airport.
