Iwatani Corporation will release on January 31 a cassette stove supervised by Takumi Yamamoto, a car designer based in France, called Iwatani Cassette Fu “Kiwami”. It will be priced at 75,000 yen (excluding tax).
The Iwatani Cassette Hoo series has been dominated by a square design, but this time, to embody the concept of “Nagomi” (harmony), a circular top plate shining in rose gold was adopted. The design integrates the pot and legs into a single unit, creating a simple and functional finish.
The sake cup-shaped body has a silhouette that appears to float above the table. It is stable, yet light like a sake cup, and adds color to the dining table.
The die-cast aluminum manufacturing process is used, and the body is painted with a special black leather-tone coating. It creates a high-quality texture while also providing functionality in maintenance.
