On January 30, French confectioner DARROYOT released a new sweet featuring the Disney character Minnie Mouse.
Packages depicting bouncing smiles and dressed-up figures, as well as macaroons with Minnie Mouse printed on them, were also introduced.
The macarons are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and are sandwiched between raspberry cream, lemon cream, pistachio cream, and chocolate ganache. The deliciousness will make you smile as soon as you bite into one of these macaroons. Available in packs of 4 (2,160 yen) or 12 (4,320 yen).
The “Assorted Macarons (2 pieces)” (864 yen each) come in three varieties. The printed macarons are set with macarons in Darroillot’s popular flavors, Rouge, Viollet, and Noir, and the package comes with a dotted ribbon reminiscent of Minnie Mouse. It can be used as a small gift.
Macaron rusks in limited packages are also available. The “Macaron Rusk (3 pieces)” (486 yen) and “Macaron Rusk Set of 3” (1566 yen) come in flavors such as Flavor, Chocolat, and Citron, respectively.
Also on sale at the same time are the “Gateau Boulle Tin” (1,320 yen) and “Gateau Chocolat Tin” (1,320 yen). The tins are filled with soft cookies in a Minnie Mouse smiley design. Both tins are delicious and cute, perfect for winter afternoon tea time.
