Universal Studios Japan revived the VR roller coaster “Blade of Oni no Kai XR Ride: Infinite Train of Dreams,” which allows visitors to experience the world of the anime “Blade of Oni no Kai” from February 1, 2012.

This attraction, which was so popular that it was introduced in 2021 and recorded a 99% satisfaction rate in a survey of visitors, will be open only until June 9. The opening ceremony was held on January 31, the day before the opening. Voice actor Natsuki Hanae, who plays the role of the main character, Sumijiro Kamon, attended the ceremony and celebrated the revival of the ride with guests who are fans of “Oni no Hane”.

On this day, Natsuki Hanae shouted, “Sumijiro, let’s fight once again with Mr. Purgatory and others! and then he rode on the red carpet in a rickshaw reminiscent of the Taisho Era of the world of the film. The waiting fans cheered loudly.

Hanae-san was one of the first to experience the “Blade of Demons XR Ride: Infinite Train Driving Dreams” on the day of the event. When asked about her impressions, she replied, “I was so excited! The synchronization between the goggles and the coaster was amazing. I couldn’t get over the feeling that Sumijiro, Purgatory, and the others were right in front of me, and the power of their breathing was unbelievable. I thought I was going to fight along with them with all my concentration, but all I could do was scream because of how real it felt (laughs),” he said excitedly.

Hanae-san, clad in a checkered “Sumijiro’s haori,” then raised her right fist high and declared, “Burn your heart with the fire of immortality! and declared the opening of the show. The audience, which was filled with confetti, burst into applause.

After the ceremony, an event to commemorate the revival was held at the Peacock Theater in the park, inviting guests who are fans of Oni no Kai. The event was streamed live on USJ’s official YouTube channel.
