The garden hotel with dog run RV park near Kujukuri-hama, where you can take a walk with your dog. RV Park The garden hotel with Dog

Posted on 2024-02-032024-02-15 by Editor in Chief

Kuruma Tabi, which manages the RV park, has established rules (requests) regarding the manners of visitors with pets, so please take a look at this page before taking your dog. The garden hotel with dog requires visitors with dogs to bring proof (photocopy acceptable) of rabies vaccination/vaccine type 5 or higher.

In addition to the facilities as an RV park, such as power supply, restrooms, and bathrooms, the facility also features a dog run and trimming service (both extra), which are hotel facilities.

One of the most common reasons for using a camper or overnight vehicle is “I want to travel with my dog. The garden hotel with Dog” (10100-1 Ichinomiya, Ichinomiya-cho, Chosei-gun, Chiba Prefecture), which we visited this time, is an RV park operated by a hotel in Sotobo, Chiba Prefecture, where you can stay with your dog.

Environment for a comfortable overnight stay in a car with moderate loneliness at night.

This RV park was established in the aftermath of the Corona disaster. At the time, campervans and overnight cars that could travel with less human contact were in the limelight, and these vehicles were popular among people who wanted to travel with their dogs.

Since the hotel is the main operator of the RV park, hotel reservations are given priority, and reservations for the RV park may not be accepted if the hotel is fully booked or the RV park is reserved. Reservations for the RV park are accepted from 20 days prior to the date of use. Reservations can only be made by phone, and payment must be made in cash on site. However, the fee for using the RV park is inexpensive at 1,500 yen per night.

The RV park is set up in a parking space on the opposite side of the hotel building, but the reception desk is located at the front entrance of the hotel.

Incidentally, it is possible to access the main entrance from the RV park side through the hotel yard (dog run), but the door to the dog run must be opened at that time. It is not advisable to open the door of the dog run without permission, regardless of whether there are other guests or not.

The RV park is available for four cars, and although the spaces are not specifically separated, there is a power supply at the base of the palm trees planted in the space, so it would be better to park in the direction shown in the photo at the beginning of this article.

As far as the surface of the parking space is concerned, it looks like it used to be a tennis court (hard court), so the surface is flat. You can lie down in the car and feel no discomfort at all. Even if it rains, it is likely to drain well, so it is a good place to stay overnight in a car.

The RV park space faces the Kujukuri Beach Line, but it is a long distance from the road, so people walking on the road are unlikely to come near the parked cars. I could hear the sound of cars on the Kujukuri Beach Line, but it was not bothersome to me.

There are private houses and apartments around the facility (no sounds of life can be heard, and there are almost no pedestrians at night), so even those who are “worried about staying in a car in a place where there are too few people” will be able to stay calmly.

Both the hotel and the RV park are designed for people with dogs, but since the hotel is the main facility, the facilities open to RV park users are limited. For people, use of the restrooms (men’s and women’s) and bathrooms on the first floor of the hotel is permitted, but since some people do not use the bathrooms, use of the bathrooms is not included in the RV park fee, but is considered optional (500 yen). The hours of use are also fixed, so please check with the receptionist when you arrive.

Although there are some restrictions on the use of these facilities, we felt that they were adequate considering the inexpensive fees charged for the use of this RV park. Other available facilities are shown in the photos below.

Next, let’s talk about the dog run. The Garden Hotel with Dogs has two dog runs, but RV park guests use the adjacent dog run instead of the space in front of the building. This space is also large enough, with a flat surface and agility equipment. However, as you can see from the photo, it would be easy to expand the dog run further if it were a dog-first facility, but this has not been done.

When we asked about the reason for this, we were told that the facility kept the dog run within what they thought was an “appropriate” range because they thought that if the dog run was too large, large dogs and other dogs running at full speed would gain too much momentum and endanger not only the dog but also other dogs using the dog run and other users. The facility was not just saying, “If it’s fenced, it’s a dog run.

The garden hotel with Dog is an RV park where you can stay with your dog, and although it is suitable for car trips with dogs, it is also available for those who want to play in the Kujukurihama area without a dog, like the author of this article. The parking space is good, and the restrooms and bathrooms are clean, so you should be able to stay in your car comfortably.
