AirJapan has unveiled the cabin of its first aircraft, which will enter service on February 9. Air Japan is a new brand of medium-haul international flights under the ANA umbrella, and its first flight will be to Bangkok, Thailand. The first flight is scheduled to depart from Bangkok, Thailand, on February 9.
The seats and uniforms were unveiled about a year ago, and in August 2023, the destination and launch date were announced. Since then, the airline has been steadily preparing for its second and third destinations, including Seoul, South Korea (to be launched on February 22, 2024) and Changi, Singapore (to be launched on April 26, 2024).
Air Japan President Hideki Mineguchi, who took the stage prior to the opening, said, “We will become a service brand with an edge. I want you to experience that,” and also introduced that the first flight is off to a good start, with both round-trip flights fully booked and a 90% reservation rate for the Bangkok route during February.
