JR Tokai Retailing Plus will release two calendars starting in March on February 18 to coincide with the JR Group’s March timetable revision. Each is priced at 1,980 yen.
The first, “Kiha 85 Series Calendar 2024,” is based on the Kiha 85 Series, which debuted on February 18, 1989 as a new limited express diesel train on the Takayama Main Line and was sadly retired at the end of June 2023. The calendar features a route map centered on the Chubu region, with color-coded depictions of the sections where the Kiha 85 Series trains were in regular operation: Hida, Nanki, Home Liner Taita, and Home Liner Okazaki.
The second, “JR Tokai Timetable Style Calendar 2024 with Route Map,” is designed in the style of timetables installed at JR Tokai’s conventional train stations. The red background and white areas mean “holidays,” and the design is based on the actual timetable indications used for express trains. The route maps in the lower part of the calendar are those that are posted on the inside of JR Tokai’s conventional trains and can be used to plan a trip while looking at them.
Both are poster size A2 (42 x 59.4 cm). They are available at the JR-PLUS Online Shop and Click! Kiosk.
