Sun Smile will open a pop-up store at ZeroBase Omotesando (3-5-22 Kita-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo) for MASCODE, which allows customers to exchange their unused masks left over at home for functional masks for free. The period is from February 21 to 25.
According to the company’s survey of approximately 7,000 people (in their 20s and 30s) nationwide, one out of every two people is a “buried mask” holder, with an average of 74 masks per person, or approximately 960 million masks in the 20s and 30s alone. With the Corona crisis under control, people are increasingly “shifting away from masks,” and the opening of the pop-up store will encourage people to wear masks to prevent pollen allergy.
MASCODE, a mask brand that has gained popularity for its masks that make people look smaller, offers products that are both fashionable and functional. By bringing an unused mask to the pop-up store, customers can exchange it for one “MASCODE 3D Mask”. The store will also sell a limited edition set of six different types for 300 yen excluding tax (normally 550 yen per bag containing seven masks and tax).
