Gen Co., Ltd. which manufactures and sells ekiben “Masu no Sushi” has released a new product “Rejyu 3-piece (trout, crab, nodoguro) Hokuriku Shinkansen W7 Series Tsuruga Extension Commemorative Set” which offers the tastes of the three Hokuriku prefectures. The price is 1,300 yen (including shipping and cooler fee), and is limited to 450 sets (will end when sold out).

The lunch box features three pieces of Gen’s original “Rejyu” brand frozen pressed sushi in a special container modeled after the Hokuriku Shinkansen W7 Series “Kagayaki” train. The fatty meat of nodoguro tuna is grilled and combined with shiroita kombu (white kelp) to create an easy-to-eat, luxurious taste. The product has a shelf life of 60 days after shipping (stored at -18°C or lower).

The container comes with special stickers that allow you to complete the “Kagayaki” figure yourself.

In addition, the official online store offers a “Rejyu 12-pack (trout, crab, and bluefin tuna)” (4,000 yen), a “Celebration! Shinkin Set” (5,100 yen), which includes a set of special trout sushi and local confections, and the “Hot Drunk Hokuriku Travel Set” (3,150 yen), which includes a choice of three bottles of famous sake.

Purchasers of eligible products will receive 5 points for every 100 yen spent, instead of the usual 1 point per 100 yen.
