Mori Arts Center Gallery (52F, Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, 6-10-1 Roppongi, Minato-ku, Tokyo) will hold the “Momoko Sakura Exhibition. The exhibition will run from October 5 to January 5, 2025.

The “Momoko Sakura Exhibition,” currently touring Japan, is an exhibition that explores the appeal of Momoko Sakura, a manga artist, essayist, lyricist, screenwriter, and many other facets of her work, who has continued to create new characters and essays one after another. In addition to approximately 300 original color drawings and handwritten manuscripts, including some of her best-known works, the exhibition will also feature exhibitions and projects unique to the Tokyo venue.

Since his debut as a cartoonist in 1984 with “I’m going to teach you a lesson, so be thankful! In 1991, his debut essay “Momo no Kanzume” became a bestseller, selling more than 2.9 million copies.

Later, as the essayist Momoko Sakura, she published “Monkey’s Koshikake” and “Tai no Okashika”, which became popular as the “Momoko Sakura Essay Trilogy”. She has also published numerous picture stories for young children, such as “Picture Book Marukoji,” in which Chibi Maruko-chan and Kojikoji had a dream collaboration.
