JR Hokkaido and JR East will release the “Hokkaido & East Japan Pass” for the spring season of 2024 from February 20 to April 16. The price is 11,330 yen for adults and 5,660 yen for children.
The pass is valid for seven consecutive days from March 1 to April 22, and allows unlimited rides on ordinary and rapid trains and JR East’s BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) system in the JR Hokkaido/JR East area, Aoimori Railway Line, Iwate Galaxy Railway Line, and Hokuetsu Kyuko Line.
Limited express trains such as the Shinkansen are not eligible. However, if the trains depart and arrive mutually within the Hokkaido Shinkansen line between Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto and Shin-Aomori, passengers can board standing seats (available seats) with the purchase of a specified limited express ticket. In addition, as a special exception, unreserved or reserved seats in ordinary cars of limited express and express trains are available on the following sections.
