Shinki Bus adds JCB and five other brands to touch-sensitive payment system for sightseeing buses in Kobe City and other areas.

Shinki Bus, Minato Card, JCB, Odawara Equipment, and QUADRAC will add JCB/American Express/Diners Club/Discover/UnionPay cards as new touch payment brands for the City Loop and Port Loop sightseeing buses operated by Shinki Bus on February The company will add JCB/American Express/Diners Club/Discover/UnionPay cards on February 23.

The Himeji Castle Loop Bus will also accept Visa, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, and UnionPay cards for touch payment in conjunction with the introduction of new vehicles.

With this system, passengers can board a bus by simply holding a card that is compatible with the touch-sensitive payment systems of various companies, or a smartphone or wearable terminal with the card installed, over a dedicated reader in the bus. In addition, once you access QUADRAC’s Q-move website and complete the membership registration process for “My Page,” you will be able to check your touch payment usage history.
