Local Charms: Tamura-san’s Recommendation at “Kusatsu Onsen Hotel Village” (Hotel staff know the local charms)

Posted on 2024-02-262024-03-08 by Editor in Chief

Although more and more people are using SNS to gather information about their travel destinations, even in this day and age, we are still interested in the recommendations of local people. In this section, we ask people who work at lodging facilities throughout Japan to introduce points of interest at the lodging facilities where they work and their favorite sightseeing spots in the surrounding area.

For this interview, we spoke with Mr. Tamura of the Sales Planning Section at Kusatsu Onsen Hotel Village (Nakazawa Village).

Name: Kusatsu Onsen Hotel Village

Location: 618, Kusatsu-cho, Agatsuma-gun, Gunma

–Please give us an overview of the facility.

At an elevation of 1,200 meters above sea level, this resort hotel offers guests a relaxing time in a rich natural environment that changes with the seasons. In addition to accommodations, the grounds, which are equivalent to seven times the size of the Tokyo Dome, offer a wide range of swimming pools, activities, and relaxation facilities that can be enjoyed by everyone from children to the elderly. In the large public bath, enjoy natural hot spring water from the famous Kusatsu hot spring.

–What are some of the highlights or experiences that you would like to see or experience that you can’t find anywhere else?

We are proud of the abundance of content and ways to spend your stay that you can fully enjoy within the hotel grounds during your stay. You can relax your body and mind with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as swimming pool, bowling, golf, maze, etc., or take a walk in the forest and relax your body and mind. …… We have also received many positive feedback from our guests saying that one night was not enough.

–What are your personal recommendations for nearby attractions?

The hot-spring fields are a must-see. Souvenir shops and eateries are lined up around the area, and you can enjoy eating and walking around. The nighttime illumination is very beautiful. Our hotel is a 15-minute walk from the hot spring resort area, and while some visitors enjoy walking there, we also offer a free shuttle bus service to the Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal during the daytime and directly to Yubatake after 5:00 p.m. Please take advantage of this service as well.

–Finally, any last words for our readers?

The hotel offers a wide variety of accommodation plans as well as in-house events for the enjoyment of as many guests as possible. In addition to staying at the hotel, you can use the activities and hot spring facilities on a one-day trip, or just dine at the hotel. We look forward to welcoming you to our hotel.
