In this issue, we will introduce the menus that will be available at the new restaurants and counter services at Fantasy Springs, with commentary by chef Ryunosuke Kataoka.
Tokyo Disney Resort held a ceremony and exhibition on February 27 to celebrate 100 days before the grand opening of Fantasy Springs, the new theme port at Tokyo DisneySea. The restaurant’s main menu was unveiled.
The world’s first restaurant where you can enjoy a meal at Arendelle Castle! Restaurant “Arendelle Royal Banquet
The Arendelle Royal Banquet is a counter-service restaurant located in the Arendelle Castle in the Frozen Kingdom area, which is based on the movie “Anna and the Snow Queen. Guests can enjoy their meals in a room in the castle that has been released as a dining space. The scene seen in the movie is right in front of you!
There are books about the characters in the movie, artwork modeled after them, and paintings from the “First Time in the World” scene. You can also enter the Great Hall where the coronation party was held! The restaurant seats approximately 570 people and is eligible for “Disney Mobile Order”.
The “Arendelle Royal Set (Beef/Seafood)” (3,500 yen each) and “Arendelle Royal Kids Set” (2,000 yen each) are available here. This set menu celebrates the opening of the Arendelle Kingdom. The menu features the characters from “Anna and the Snow Queen” and a Scandinavian theme, allowing diners to experience the world of the movie as it was in the original film.
Common to the set are the following
Smoked salmon trout and orange salad
Potatoes au gratin.
Bread
Olaf’s Marshmallow Cocoa Mousse
Chef Kataoka said, “We prepared two types of pie crusts for the main dish: beef and seafood. The beef is made by braising the ribs in red wine. The potatoes were inspired by Jansson’s Temptation. There is also a salad made with lingonberry jam, a Scandinavian favorite. The sticky oaf for dessert is a delightful treat,” he says.
Also, “Seafood is a pie with lobster and red fish as the main ingredients, lobster prawns and vegetables. It is also filled with a saffron-infused sauce.” A glass of “fruit wine (white/red)” (700 yen), which goes perfectly with the set, will also be served.
The kids’ menu features “meatballs combined with beef stew sauce. It comes with rice flour bread,” says the chef.
Another new restaurant, “Oaken’s Okay Food,” has opened in the area. Here, they will offer “Oaken’s Fufu Bread (Cardamom & Meat)” (850 yen), an adaptation of the Scandinavian specialty “Cardamom Rolls”.
Chef Kataoka said, “Cardamom is kneaded into the bread dough. The inside is filled with lingonberries, mint, cheese, etc., and can be easily eaten with one hand.
In addition, a “Souvenir Spoon & Fork” (plus 1,900 yen), which can be purchased with the target set menu, is also available. The design is inspired by Elsa’s coronation and is very elegant.
