WILLER EXPRESS launched the “QR Code boarding service” using smartphones and other devices on February 27, 2012 on its WILLER EXPRESS express buses.
The QR code boarding service is available to passengers who have made reservations and paid for the WILLER EXPRESS express bus service in advance. The QR code displayed on the smartphone when boarding the bus is accepted is scanned by the crew (driver) at the acceptance terminal to ensure smooth boarding.
In the past, reservation numbers and names had to be visually verified by crew members, which took time during busy periods. With this new service, boarding can be completed automatically and instantly, according to the company.
