Marriott International will open the Courtyard by Marriott Fukui (1-3500 Chuo, Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture) on March 15. In conjunction with the opening, the company began accepting reservations for the hotel today, February 29. Reservations can be made by phone or e-mail.
The hotel, the seventh hotel in Japan under the Courtyard by Marriott brand, is located on the upper floors of FUKUMACHI BLOCK, a 28-story building to be built in front of JR Fukui Station in conjunction with the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line extension. The hotel offers a panoramic view of the city.
The building design is based on the concept of “Kare-Tan,” which represents simplicity and sophistication, and expresses profound “beauty” by incorporating traditional Fukui crafts. 252 guest rooms, including suites, will be located on the 17th through 28th floors. Room types include Superior (108 rooms), Deluxe (120 rooms), Corner Deluxe (12 rooms), and Suite (12 rooms).
The hotel also has a restaurant “SUBSTANCE” and a Japanese restaurant “FUKUI”, as well as The Lounge & Bar, banquet rooms, and a fitness center.
