Traffic regulations will be enforced throughout Tokyo on March 3 in conjunction with the Tokyo Marathon 2024.

In the central Tokyo area where the marathon course is located, general roads will be closed in stages from 6:00 a.m. at the start of the marathon until around 9:00 p.m. at the finish. Some entrances and exits of the Metropolitan Expressway will also be temporarily closed.

Cars, bicycles, electric kickboards, and pedestrians will not be able to cross, so if you plan to go out, you should check the detour route in advance and consider the congestion on surrounding roads.

In addition, Toei Bus, Keio Bus, Kanto Bus, and other bus routes will suspend service in restricted areas, shorten service sections, detour, and temporarily suspend bus stops. Due to road congestion on the day, buses not subject to the restrictions may not be able to operate as scheduled. It is also recommended to consider detour routes by rail.
