Hilton Tokyo Bay (1-8 Maihama, Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture) will hold a dessert buffet “American Comic Diner” at its lobby lounge “lounge O”. The buffet will be available only on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from April 20 to June 16 (except May 11 to 12).
The concept is “a 1950s-inspired American diner and American comics filled with a sense of fun.” About 20 desserts and 15 savory dishes are lined up in a cute retro space based on pink and purple tones.
The first buffet area uses cartoon screen tones and speech bubbles to show the beginning of the story. The lineup includes a hamburger-style strawberry busse dressed as a monster. The next area is a scene where waiters join forces to fight with bubble guns as weapons. Visitors can enjoy desserts that are as rich in texture as onomatopoeic words such as “shwash,” “zaku zaku,” and “puru puru. Finally, peace returns to the diner, with cookies that look like standard French fries and strawberry shortcake finished in a red and white checkered pattern.
In addition to savory items such as buffalo chicken, burritos, and filling pizzas, customers can enjoy as many of the approximately 20 beverages as they like.
The buffet will be served for 2 hours each day (from 12:00/12:30/14:30/15:00) and the price is 4700 yen for adults, 2600 yen for 9-12 year olds, and 1800 yen for 4-8 year olds. Reservations can be made by calling the hotel at 047-355-5000 or through the web page.
