Posted on 2024-03-052024-03-18 by Editor in Chief

Graphic, Inc. will release in March the book “See in Big Picture! Shinkansen Visual Book” will be released in March. The book will be 240 pages, A5 size, and priced at 2,530 yen.

The book thoroughly covers all Shinkansen trains in Japan, from the newest Series E8 debuting on March 15 to the retired Series 0, including the differences in coloring and logos. Large photos of the front and side views of these rare and precious trains, which can only be seen in the book, allow the reader to compare them.

In addition to the “Neon Genesis Evangelion” and other collaborated Shinkansen trains, the “Doctor Yellow” Shinkansen train for inspection of tracks and overhead wires, and JR East’s “East i” inspection car will also make an appearance.

The Tokaido Shinkansen celebrated its 60th anniversary in 1964, and now runs all over Japan. This section introduces not only the Shinkansen lines that are already in service, but also those that have begun construction and those for which basic plans have been submitted but no construction plans have yet been decided.

In addition, the paper will also include the name of the train type, year of completion, train name, maximum speed, number of cars in the train, and a description of the train.
