Nifty Onsen, a hot spring and spa information site operated by Nifty Lifestyle, has announced the “Sauna Ranking 2024” by users who love hot springs.

Ranking of hot springs and bathing facilities with “sauna rooms” among 5558 hot springs and bathing facilities in Japan (as of January 31, 2024) listed on NIFTY Onsen, based on users’ votes.

In the overall category, for the second year in a row, “Iyo no Toujijo Kisuke no Yu” (4 Miyata-cho, Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture), located right in front of JR Matsuyama Station, was selected first place, winning high marks from visitors coming from afar on a “sauna trip.

In the category of private saunas that can be enjoyed without being seen, RED°E-SAUNA UENO (3-44-7 Yushima, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo) took first place. This facility, with its concept of “enjoyment through the five senses,” topped the list for the second year in a row.

The rankings by area (East Japan/West Japan) were also announced this time. The first place in the East Japan area went to Spa Mezza Otaka Ryusenji no Yu (1-15-1, Otakanomori-nishi, Nagareyama City, Chiba Prefecture), which has three different types of saunas and three different types of water baths.

In contrast, Iyo no Yujijo Kisuke no Yu was ranked No. 1 in the Western Japan area in the overall category, winning strong popularity for its 110°C “demon sauna (flame)” for men, and for the wax waves that envelop the entire body in the heat of the blast.

Other facilities ranked in the list are as follows.
