JAL and JAL ABC have launched “JALABC Travel Delivery Service (Tabitaku),” a baggage delivery service for domestic travel.
Tabitaku is a renewed version of the “Pickup Service” provided by JAL, integrated with the “ABC Nationwide Delivery Service” provided by JAL ABC. Delivery is handled by Sagawa Express.
Previously, only one-way use from a designated location (home, office, etc.) to the destination was allowed, but now round-trip use is also supported. Return trips only (hotel to home, etc.) and delivery to airport counters are not available.
The size regulations and fee structure have also been revised: each piece of luggage with a total length, width, and height of 140 cm or less and a weight of 20 kg or less will be charged 2,200 yen (3,200 yen if the main island of Okinawa is included). Golf bags, ski boards, and snowboards will be handled as 140 size regardless of size.
