Inoue will open “Eiheiji Daruma Pudding Kurufu Fukui Station Store” in conjunction with the March 16th opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen line extension between Kanazawa and Tsuruga.
Eiheiji Daruma Pudding opened in March 2021 in front of the gate of Eiheiji Temple. Its signature product, Daruma Pudding, which is based on the motif of Daruma, a doll closely associated with Zen, is known as one of the most popular sweets in the prefecture, with a cumulative total of 600,000 units sold.
The new Kurufu Fukui Station store will feature a limited-edition “Daruma Pudding Shinkansen Kagayaki Set” (1,190 yen). The smooth textured plain (1 pudding) and ramune jelly pudding (1 pudding) will be sold in a package with a Hokuriku Shinkansen motif.
In the same area of Kurufu Fukui Station, a new business model “Dinosaur Confectionery Store,” specializing in dinosaur sable, will open at the same time.
