Fixed-rate discount for motorcycles on expressways on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays; 37.5% discount for over 80 km; can be used for up to 3 consecutive days

Posted on 2024-03-152024-03-24 by Editor in Chief

NEXCO East Japan, NEXCO Central Japan, NEXCO West Japan, and Miyagi Prefecture Road Public Corporation will offer a “fixed rate discount for motorcycles” on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from April 6 to November 30 (from October 27 in Hokkaido).

A 37.5% discount is applied to ETC-equipped motorcycles when the distance traveled exceeds 80 km between each IC. Free membership registration on “Hayatabi” and application for use of the service are required in advance.

Previously, the distance to be covered by the discount was 100 km or more per trip, but this has been changed to 80 km or more, and the discount is now available not only for one-day trips, but also for two- or three-day trips in a row.

When connecting to an eligible road via a specific IC or a new direct-controlled section, the distance traveled on each eligible road is totaled as one trip, and if a holiday or late-night discount is also applicable, the discount with the lowest fare is applied.

Discounts do not apply to the Daisan Keihin, Yokohama New Road, Yokoyoko Road, Daini-Hanna Road, Daini-Shinmei, Kanmon Tunnel, and Okinawa Road. The Tokyo Bay Aqualine is counted only for the distance traveled (not subject to discount).
