Tokyo DisneySea will hold its first “Tokyo DisneySea Food & Wine Festival,” a special event themed “Explore the World with Food,” from April 1 to June 30.
For this first installment, we offer menus from countries around the world based on eight theme ports. They welcome guests with a rich menu ranging from light snacks such as one-hand menus to course meals with a well-crafted world view.
One of the highlights is “Chef’s Imagination. Table service outlets will offer a variety of delicious and visually appealing items created with imagination from each area of the new themed port Fantasy Springs, which will have its grand opening on June 6.
The “~Chef’s Imagination~ Special Course” (8,800 yen to 13,400 yen) at the S.S. Columbia Dining Room is themed around the Frozen Kingdom, inspired by the movie “Anna and the Snow Queen.
Representing a memorable scene from the movie, the appetizer recreates the scene where Anna, with ice magic in her chest, goes to meet Kristoff and the trolls. Each small dish, including the valley where the trolls live, represents a character in the film.
The fish dish, “Chilled Seafood Flan with Steamed Golden Snapper and Summer Vegetable Wraps,” shows how Elsa’s heart is closed with fear of ice magic. The main course, “Roast Beef with Cranberry Sauce,” for example, will be a perfect dish for the coronation party.
For dessert, “Rare Cheese Mousse and Mint Foam with Peaches and Roasted Almonds” gives you the feel of an Arendelle kingdom that has been warmed by true love. The fjord-like blue jelly with mint foam spreading like melting snow is just like that touching scene at the end!
A “Sommelier Recommended Pairing Wine Set” (4,500 yen) is also available to enjoy wines that go well with the special course. You can proceed with your meal with the best combination of sparkling wine “Henriot Brut Souverain (Henriot)”, white wine “Chateau Mercian Kitashin Chardonnay (Chateau Mercian)” and red wine “Chateau Mercian Nagano Merlot (Chateau Mercian)”. You can enjoy your meal with the best combination of the red wine “Chateau Mercian Nagano Merlot”.
