With its mix of modern buildings and old town that looks like something out of a movie, it’s easy to see why Kuala Lumpur is so popular with tourists! A look around the city today

The Petronas Twin Towers are the most popular icons in Kuala Lumpur. With 88 floors above ground and a height of 452 meters, it is the tallest twin tower in the world, and at the time of its completion in 1996, it was the tallest skyscraper in the world. The twin towers are rich in stories, as they were built by Petronas, Malaysia’s leading national oil company, and there is no shortage of episodes of competition between Japan’s Hazama and South Korea’s Samsung Bussan. Most of the towers are used as offices, but there is also a shopping mall, a sky bridge spanning the 41st and 42nd floors, and an observation deck on the 86th floor (paid admission, capacity limited) from which visitors can look down on the cityscape of Kuala Lumpur. The distinctive design is photogenic, and the area is very popular as a photo spot, with many tourists taking pictures in the vicinity. As you will see when you actually visit the site, you will be overwhelmed by its size and shiny, massive design. It is definitely worth a visit to see it for yourself.

E&O Residences Kuala Lumpur, where we stayed this time, is located about a 7-minute walk from Bukit Bintang Road, a high-rise residence popular as a long-stay destination. This accommodation is suitable for long-term stays and is equipped with a kitchen, cooking utensils, refrigerator, washing machine, dryer, etc. There are a total of 200 rooms, 104 one-bedroom (105 m2, up to 3 persons) and 96 two-bedroom (134 m2, up to 5 persons) rooms. Of course, the hotel is equipped with facilities such as a swimming pool and fitness room, and security is also taken into consideration, as entry to the premises is by card key, and one must pass through an area where guards are stationed. I actually stayed in a one-bedroom on the 10th floor, and my first impression was that it was spacious! was my first impression. The spacious living room spread out before my eyes, with an open counter kitchen and a refrigerator with an ice maker. The adjoining bedroom has a king-size bed, and the bathroom has a shower and a bathtub. There are also two washbasins, so you can spend a busy morning without trouble with your roommate. The spacious room is not just for those who are used to a small Japanese home, but for those who are used to a small Japanese home, “Hooray for space to put your luggage anywhere! It was so spacious that it made me think, “I will definitely forget something if I don’t keep my luggage in one place. One thing to note is that the hot water is heated by a heater (which is the mainstream in Malaysia), so if you want to take a shower, you should turn it on about 10 minutes before. The accommodation fee is from 380 RM per night (about 12,000 yen), so it would be an option for those who would like to stay in Kuala Lumpur for a long period of time.
