On March 25, ANA unveiled its new flagship Boeing 787-10 domestic flight specification (registration code: JA983A), which will be introduced on domestic routes. The company already operates three 787-10s on international routes, mainly in Asia, and with the introduction of this new aircraft, it has become the first airline to operate all 787 series (787-8, 787-9, and 787-10) on domestic routes.
The 787-10 will be deployed on domestic routes for the first time in Japan, and ANA’s first flight with 787-10 domestic specifications is scheduled for March 27 on the Haneda – Shin-Chitose route (NH59).
Junko Yazawa, Director and Managing Executive Officer, who gave an overview of the aircraft in the hanger where it was unveiled, expressed her high expectations for the aircraft, saying, “As the airline that owns the largest number of 787 series aircraft in the world, we have been eagerly awaiting this introduction. In addition, the company sent mechanics to Boeing’s Charleston plant to confirm safety from the assembly stage, and test flights were conducted by ANA pilots in addition to Boeing’s own pilots.
