Odakyu Corporation, Tokyo Metro, and Tokyu Land Corporation announced that they have begun construction of a new building in “Ward A,” a joint project by the three companies in the Shinjuku Station West Exit Area Development Plan.

This project aims to develop the infrastructure to realize the “Shinjuku Grand Terminal” promoted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in Shinjuku 3-chome and Nishi-Shinjuku 1-chome, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo (the former site of the main building of Odakyu Department Store Shinjuku).

In Zone A (site area: 8,060m2), a high-rise building with 48 floors above ground and 5 floors below with a height of 260m is planned to house offices and commercial facilities, with construction to be completed in FY2029.

In the adjacent “B” area (site area: 7660m2), Odakyu Corporation plans to construct an 8-story above-ground, 2-story below-ground station facility with a height of approximately 50m as an independent project of Odakyu Corporation.
