Aquament’s aquarium “átoa” (7-2 Shinko-machi, Chuo-ku, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture) will hold an “Adult Social Studies Tour” from April 19 to 21, where visitors can experience working as a keeper.
April 19 is “Breeding Day” (4=shi, 1=i, 9=ku). This day was established by the Japan Association of Zoos and Aquariums to promote interest in and understanding of zoos and aquariums through the work of zookeepers.
The maximum number of participants is 2 per day (18 years old or older, by lottery), and the deadline for application is 12:00 pm on April 14. On the day of the event, participants will clean the tanks, select and adjust the amount of food to be fed, and feed the fish in the large tank.
