MIXI and Mitsui Fudosan have announced the completion of LaLa arena TOKYO-BAY, a multipurpose arena in Funabashi, Chiba Prefecture, on April 17.
Children tour 2024 miss you arena tour” will be held from July 6 to 7 as the first show to kick off the tour, in addition to an unveiling event on May 29.
LaLarena Tokyo Bay is a four-story building with a total floor area of approximately 31,000 m2 and a capacity of 10,000 guests. It is also used as the home arena for the Chiba Jets professional basketball team.
The exterior was inspired by the port of Lalaport and the jet airplane from which the Chiba Jets team is named, and is composed of perforated aluminum panels that resemble ship’s wake and jet airflow. The interior is mortar-shaped, with a 423-inch elevated vision screen and a 120-meter-long ribbon vision screen surrounding the arena.
In addition, there are 4 restaurants offering food and beverage menus, a dedicated entrance and exit, and 19 VIP areas plus 3 rooms for spectators to watch the games while eating.
To celebrate the opening, an unveiling event is planned for May 29, including a talk show by guests and a visit by players of the Chiba Jets, to which 1,000 people, including Mitsui Shopping Park point members, will be invited. Details will be announced on the website in April.
