Although more and more people are using SNS to gather information about their travel destinations, even in this day and age, we are still interested in the recommendations of local people. In this section, we ask people who work at lodging facilities throughout Japan to introduce points of interest at the lodging facilities where they work and their favorite sightseeing spots in the surrounding area.
For this interview, we spoke with Mr. Masahiro Miyoshi, front desk of Miyako City Tokyo Takanawa.
Facility Name: Miyako City Tokyo Takanawa
Location: 3-19-17 Takanawa, Minato-ku, Tokyo
–Please give us an overview of the facility.
Located in the ever-growing city of Takanawa, the building is about a 7-minute walk from Shinagawa Station and Sengakuji Station, providing convenient access to Haneda Airport and the rest of Tokyo. With the concept of “A wonderful tomorrow begins to move in. We are committed to providing comfort, functionality, and above all, comfort, and we pursue what we can do to make your time spent at the hotel an important time for your mind and body to be filled with contentment.
–What are some of the highlights or experiences that you would like to see or experience that you can’t find anywhere else?
We invite you to take a look at our interior design, in which only the best items are selected, and our original mattresses, which were developed jointly with Simmons, a company that provides high quality sleep. In addition, the bathroom and toilet are independent, and the bathroom with a washing area is appreciated by many of our guests.
–What are your personal recommendations for nearby attractions?
We recommend Sengakuji Temple, which is famous for the graves of the Ako Yoshishi. Every year in April and December, the Ako Gishi Festival is held, attracting many visitors. There is also the Ako Yoshishi Memorial Museum in the precincts of the temple, where materials related to the Yoshishi are on display. It is only an 8-minute walk from the hotel, so why not visit there while seeing the Takanawa Gateway area under development?
–Finally, any last words for our readers?
Thanks to your support, our hotel celebrated its 5th anniversary on February 11. We look forward to welcoming you to our hotel.
