Mooch off the “Mermaid Lagoon” menu at the Tokyo DisneySea Food & Wine Festival. Maybe it’s a good thing to separate containers for recycling!

Tokyo DisneySea is currently holding the Tokyo DisneySea Food & Wine Festival from April 1 to June 30.

Under the theme of “Explore the World through Food,” menus from countries around the world are being served in the eight theme ports of Tokyo DisneySea. This event has been a great success. This time, I had the chance to enjoy a menu inspired by the Mermaid Lagoon, the kingdom where the main character from the movie “The Little Mermaid” lives.

There are two specials available at the New York Deli. First, we ordered the “Scallop Mashed Potatoes with Shrimp Chips” (800 yen).

Scallop ceviche with a fresh lime flavor, chowder-flavored mashed potatoes, and a seashell-style shrimp chip. The colorful visuals are just like the theme port! A scoop of mashed potato on the crispy chips will fill your mouth with deliciousness.

And don’t forget the “Sparkling Cocktail (Rum & Pineapple)” (800 yen). A quick bite of the menu I just mentioned, followed by a gulp of the cocktail. The perfect harmony will make you smile.

The flavor is reminiscent of the Caribbean-born cocktail pina coladas, and the blue ocean spreads out in the cup. The coconut chips and star-shaped toppings are inspired by coral and sandy beaches. It’s the kind of finish that allows you to enjoy both Under the Sea and Above the Sea with every sip.

And when you’re done eating, you can also enjoy an eco-friendly way to sort your food. The “Scallop Mashed Potatoes with Shrimp Chips” container can be easily sorted for recycling by removing the film from the container.

And if you put it in the special collection box, you may get a nice surprise from the Cast Member! Please declare yourself to the cast member when you place it on the tray! The collected containers will be reused as used paper. After tasting the delicious food, let’s have fun and help recycle it.
