MUJI BASE TESHIMA (2358 Ieura, Teshima, Dojocho, Shodo-gun, Kagawa Prefecture), an accommodation facility renovated from an old private house, will open on April 26.
Located a 5-minute walk from the Teshima Ieura ferry terminal. The facility can accommodate up to 4 people, and rates start at 55,000 yen for 3 days and 2 nights (for 2 people). A cleaning fee of 15,000 yen is required separately, and reservations are accepted on Airbnb for stays of two nights or more.
MUJI BASE is a mid- to long-term stay facility that uses idle assets throughout Japan to enjoy a community-based MUJI lifestyle, the second of its kind following MUJI BASE KAMOGAWA (Ohata, Kamogawa, Chiba), which will open in August 2023.
The restaurant is a 90-plus year old private house that was renovated in 2010 as a dormitory for the Setouchi International Art Festival’s artwork and restaurant management staff.
The rooms were coordinated by IDÉE, the company’s interior design brand, with a selection of works by Japanese artists, vintage furniture, and tableware by contemporary artists based in the Setouchi area.
During your stay, you will have access to sweets and drinks made with lemons from Teshima, popular MUJI products as food amenities, a selection of records, books by MUJI BOOKS, MUJI furniture, appliances, and household goods.
