Union established for Kyobashi area redevelopment project connected to the KK line. Aiming for completion in 2030 of a new spot where a hotel and stores will be housed.

On April 18, Tokyo Tatemono established an urban redevelopment association in the Kyobashi 3-chome East Urban Area Redevelopment Project Type 1, which has been underway since 2017.

The project aims to create a new bustling center at the nexus of Kyobashi and Ginza, and to enhance the wide-area circulation of the district.

An underground pedestrian walkway connecting to Kyobashi Station and an underground station plaza will be developed to expand the underground network to and from Tokyo Station, and a space and open indoor plaza will be developed connecting to the “Tokyo Sky Corridor” where the Tokyo Expressway (KK Line) will be abolished and rehabilitated into a promenade.

In addition, the upper spaces of the Nishi-Kyobashi Building, Tokyo-bashi Building, and Shin-Kyobashi Building will be renewed as a green pedestrian space, with a vertical flow line from the ground to Tokyo Sky Corridor.

The building will have four basement levels and 35 above-ground floors, and will be approximately 180 meters high. In addition to a hotel, stores, and parking, there will be space for temporary stays for people who have difficulty returning home in the event of a disaster, as well as a disaster prevention stockpile warehouse.

The company plans to participate in the project as a member of the redevelopment association. Construction is scheduled to begin in FY2026 and be completed in FY2030.
