Caption Hotel Management has set June 12 as the opening date for Caption by Hyatt Namba Osaka (2-7-5 Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture), and today, April 2, the company began accepting reservations for the hotel.

Caption by Hyatt is a new brand announced by Hyatt for 2019, a casual lifestyle hotel with a close connection to the hotel’s local community. This will be the first entry in Japan and will be managed by Gran Vista Hotels & Resorts.

Located in the area known as “Ura-Namba,” where unique and distinctive restaurants line the streets of Namba, one of the busiest shopping districts in Osaka, and within walking distance of Kuromon Ichiba, Dotonbori, Namba Grand kagetsu, and the National Bunraku Theater.

The 11-story building has a total of 167 rooms, of which two types are available: standard (20m2) and deluxe (30m2). The rooms are decorated with pop and playful interior decorations such as wall art depicting the streets of Osaka, hanging decorations resembling Japanese sword patterns, and reading lamps that look like scrolls.

The building is also equipped with a “Talk Shop,” an event and community space where food and beverages are available, as well as a 24-hour fitness room and coin-operated laundry.

Room rates start at 19,360 yen per night per room (up to two persons per room). As a special offer to commemorate the opening, a welcome drink (mixed juice made with soy milk and fruit from Kuromon Ichiba or latte made with soy milk from Kuromon Ichiba) will be provided for stays from June 12 to September 30.

In addition, Hyatt’s loyalty program, World of Hyatt, will offer 500 bonus points per night for stays at the hotel from June 12 to September 30.
