Oedo Onsen Monogatari Hotels & Resorts has reopened Oedo Onsen Monogatari Yamashiya (18-124 Yamashiroonsen, Kaga, Ishikawa).

The center of attention is the infinity hot spring overlooking the Kaga cityscape. The open-air bath on the top floor has been fully renovated to combine the men’s and women’s baths in one location, and a new indoor bath with stylish monotone tones has been installed (men and women are interchangeable). Approximately 1,450 liters of hot spring water per minute, or about 60 tons per day, is poured into the baths, and guests can enjoy an extraordinary bathing experience while watching the sun set over the Kaga Plain, not to mention during the daytime.

The indoor bath with a view is equipped with a steam sauna and medicinal stones that have different effects depending on where you sit. In addition, there are separate large public baths for men and women.

The Premium Lounge, a feature of the Premium series, is located in front of the main bath. Guests can freely enjoy coffee, cold Kaga-bocha tea, ice-candy, as well as draft beer and highballs at any time without additional charge.

Some of the 108 rooms have been renovated into “Japanese Modern Rooms” that combine Western comfort and Japanese relaxation, and are available for two to a maximum of six people. Some rooms offer views of the “Yu no Kyokurin” and “Ko-so-yu” that are unique to Yamashiro Onsen.

A sumptuous gourmet buffet is served for evening and morning meals. The all-you-can-eat buffet includes freshly prepared steaks and tempura from the live kitchen, local cuisine “Jibuni,” sashimi, sushi, and Häagen-Dazs. A wide variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes are available, and can be enjoyed with Ishikawa’s local sake.

Room rates start at 16,400 yen per person per night including dinner and breakfast (based on two adults per room). For the second round of Ishikawa Prefecture’s “Hokuriku Ouen Wari” program, which offers up to a 50% discount on travel fees, sales of the dedicated plan will begin at 10:00 a.m. on April 23.
