Osaka Metro (Osaka Municipal High-Speed Electric Railway) has applied to the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism for a track project for the section between Morinomiya Station and Morinomiya New Station (tentative name) on the Chuo Line. The line is scheduled to open in the spring of 2028. The line extension is 1.1 km.
As a member of the Morinomiya area’s urban development, the company intends to improve accessibility and create liveliness in the development area by installing a new station and developing the surrounding area.
