Tottori Prefecture is running the “Tottori Sand Megu Route: Let’s explore Tottori with Sand” campaign on the location-based game application “Pokemon GO. The campaign is a tour around the prefecture with Tottori Hometown Ambassadors “Sand” and “Alola Sand” using the official prefectural route added to the game.
To coincide with the campaign, a “Tottori Sand Tour Route Fun Ambassador” appointment ceremony was held on April 21, featuring Tokyo Olympics women’s boxing gold medalist Sena Irie, a native of Tottori Prefecture and a well-known Pokémon enthusiast.
Ms. Irie experienced one of Tottori Prefecture’s official routes, the “Tottori Sand Dunes Unique View Route,” together with Governor Hirai of Tottori Prefecture. There are 10 routes in the prefecture, so I would like to walk around slowly again and enjoy the charm of each one. I hope you will visit Tottori Prefecture and take a walk around the area, as you can enjoy the entire prefecture while conquering the routes.
In addition, a present campaign is being conducted for those who play the official route and tour around the prefecture to win a pair of travel tickets to Tottori and special Sando collaboration goods in a drawing.
