Choice Hotels Japan renewed its Comfort Hotels in Kariya and Kitakyushu.
The “Comfort Hotel Kariya” in Kariya, Aichi Prefecture, which was renovated on March 21, expresses the city of Kariya, which is bustling with the automobile industry. The wallpaper in the guest rooms is decorated with gentle colors reminiscent of nature, such as sunflower fields, and a geometric design reminiscent of an automobile factory. Thermal faucets and USB outlets have been introduced, and the desk chairs have been redesigned.
The front counter is designed to resemble automobile parts. The EV hall wall depicts a classic car from the good old days.
Comfort Hotel Kurosaki” in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, which was renovated on March 29, features clean rooms inspired by the nature and scenery of Kitakyushu. The single rooms were designed with the image of the sun setting over the Kitakyushu industrial area, and the warmth and brightness of the sun was expressed in orange. The twin rooms have green wallpaper reminiscent of the “Ichii Gashi” tree, known as the symbolic tree of Kitakyushu. In addition, USB outlets will be installed.
The front of the building features a baggage stand with a design that symbolizes the textile culture of Fukuoka Prefecture. The fabric-like wall surface has been updated with a design that expresses traditional culture in a modern way.
All of the hotels have also introduced duvets made of recycled down for the beds in all rooms. These duvets are made from old, damaged feathers that have been thoroughly washed, dried, and regenerated with a premium down wash finish.
