Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama (1-7 Maihama, Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture), an official hotel of Tokyo Disney Resort, has launched the “WHILL Mobility Service” utilizing the short-distance mobility vehicle “WHILL.
In anticipation of demand during the spring holiday season and Golden Week, the service will be offered as one of the transportation services from the hotel to nearby leisure facilities and sightseeing areas. This service will provide an environment for both physically-challenged guests and senior citizens to enjoy their stay more.
The company has already been selling limited-time WHILL rental and accommodation plans since the fall of 2023, and newly added the premium model “WHILL Model C2” (two units) reflecting user feedback. The rental location is at the front desk of the Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama. The rental fee is 2,500 yen per day for up to 16 hours from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. You can rent the equipment for up to two consecutive days and bring it into your guest room.
Conditions for use include having one’s feet on the footplates when seated, weighing less than 115 kg, and having the necessary alertness and judgment to operate the machine. For details, please check the hotel’s official website.
