Tokyo Metro has announced the operation plan for the Tozai Line between Toyocho and Nishi-Kasai, which will be suspended throughout the day on May 11 and 12.
The service suspension in this section is due to the construction of additional tracks and platforms at Minami-Sunamachi Station on the Tozai Line, which will reduce the number of trains in some sections and perform turnaround operations at Toyocho and Kasai Stations. In addition, trains between Nishi-Kasai and Kasai will have to change trains at Kasai Station to make a turnaround in the same section, and trains will be operated approximately every 15 minutes throughout the day (see image).
The company is therefore urging people to take the JR Sobu and Keiyo lines from Nishi Funabashi Station, the Toei Shinjuku line from Motoyawata Station, or the Tokyo Metro Hibiya line from Kayabacho Station, etc. on the day of the event.
