Maruyama, operator of the tourist complex “Miyagi Matsushima Rikyu” (18 Namiuchi Beach, Matsushima, Matsushima-cho, Miyagi-gun, Miyagi Prefecture), will open “Tully’s Coffee Harbor Terrace Matsushima Rikyu” on April 26.

The facility is located at 9.99 meters above sea level at the highest point along Matsushima Bay. Visitors can enjoy their purchased drinks at the observatory café area overlooking Matsushima Bay, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan, and at the rooftop harbor terrace. The store is also the only café in Matsushima with a drive-through, making it easy to take out and enjoy a car trip.

In addition to coffee and lattes, the menu includes the “Green Tea Tiramisu Shake” (690 yen), “Espresso Shake” (660 yen), and “Strawberry Yogurt Sour Cream” (690 yen).

Also, during the GW period (April 27-May 6), Matsushima Rikyu in Miyagi Prefecture will host a variety of Sanriku oyster gourmet events, including grilled oysters, raw oysters, oyster rice, and fried oysters, as well as a children’s fair and a raffle drawing.

Access is a 1-minute walk from JR Matsushima-kaigan Station and a 3-minute walk from the Zuiganji Temple and sightseeing boat pier, both national treasures.
