Yokosuka City Verney Park (1-1 Shioiri-cho, Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture) will hold the “Spring Rose Festa” from May 3 to 5 in conjunction with the rose blooming season. Admission is free.
A marché will be held during the festival, selling rose seedlings and rose goods, and a kitchen car will be set up; free live music will be held on May 3, with performances by Ryusuke Oishi, T.R.M with HI-ORLEANS, Asante, and others.
The normally inaccessible French-style flowerbed lawn area has a blue door and a photo spot where visitors can take pictures of the scenery, and is open to the public on a special basis from April 27 to June 2 (10:00 – 16:00). The roses are expected to be at their peak in mid-May.
