JR Tokai and 3 other companies to open Hyatt luxury hotel in Nara

Posted on 2024-04-252024-05-01 by Editor in Chief

JR Tokai, JR Tokai Real Estate, and JR Tokai Hotels have been selected as the preferred negotiators for the “Nara Prefecture Selection Project for Small and Medium Enterprise Halls and Other Accommodation Projects” being solicited by Nara Prefecture.

Under the business concept of “Being NARA Neighbors Neighbors!”, the three companies aim to construct the hotel with the aim of fostering a cycle in which visitors become fans of Nara and repeatedly visit the city to show the attractiveness of Nara to people in Japan and abroad. The opening date has not yet been decided.

The construction site will be 3,356 m2 after the Nara Prefectural Small and Medium Enterprise Hall and the Nara Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hall are removed. It is planned to be located in Todaiji, Nara City, Nara Prefecture, near Kintetsu Nagoya Station.

The hotel will be a luxury hotel in partnership with Hyatt, with space for visitors to experience Nara’s history, culture, and industry.
